Accounting, Tax & Employer Services
Establish a UAE company's Corporate Tax registration, accounting and filing framework around its actual activities, transactions and compliance deadlines.
Corporate tax has changed the way UAE businesses need to think about administration. A company can no longer treat bookkeeping as something prepared retrospectively for a bank or annual renewal; accounting records now support a federal tax return, related-party analysis and, where relevant, reliefs or free zone positions.
For a newly formed business, the best time to establish that framework is before the first year becomes a reconstruction exercise. For an existing company, the priority is to understand its registration status, tax period, accounting quality and transactions before a deadline turns an administrative weakness into a tax problem.
The FTA maintains dedicated corporate-tax registration rules and in July 2026 issued Decision No. 12 of 2026 dealing with registration and deregistration timelines. The applicable obligation depends on the taxpayer and its circumstances.
A company should therefore establish its status from current FTA rules rather than rely on the date another business registered. New incorporation, cessation and changes in legal status can all affect the compliance timetable.
Revenue, expenses, fixed assets, financing, owner transactions and related-party balances need to be recorded in a way that supports the corporate-tax computation. A free zone company may need additional analysis to support qualifying-income treatment.
Where the bookkeeping has been maintained only for cash management, a pre-filing review can identify gaps before they become embedded in the return.
VAT, payroll, customs, transfer pricing and group transactions can interact with the same accounting records. A business with overseas shareholders or related companies may also need agreements and pricing evidence to support cross-border charges.
The compliance framework should therefore follow the company's actual transactions rather than consist of a tax registration number and an annual reminder.
We establish the entity's tax status, tax period, registration position, activities and accounting system, then coordinate registration and the compliance calendar with qualified UAE tax professionals.
Accounting, related-party documentation and return preparation responsibilities are assigned before filing becomes urgent. The objective is a repeatable compliance process that gives management useful financial information as well as satisfying the tax regime. For groups with several UAE entities, the setup should also establish whether tax grouping, participation exemption, group relief or free-zone status needs separate analysis before the first return. Those decisions can affect how transactions are documented during the year, not merely how the final tax computation is prepared.
