International Trade & Market Entry
Coordinate the business, investment and documentation workstreams for eligible entrepreneurs considering Singapore's Global Investor Programme.
Singapore's Global Investor Programme is not a conventional investor visa purchased through a passive payment. It is aimed at established global investors with substantial entrepreneurial or investment-management track records who intend to contribute materially to Singapore's economy.
For the right applicant, the programme can connect personal relocation with a serious Singapore business or investment strategy. The eligibility thresholds, investment options and assessment criteria are demanding enough that the commercial plan should be tested before the immigration process becomes the centre of the project.
EDB states that GIP applicants need a substantial business track record and successful entrepreneurial background, with detailed criteria differing between established business owners, next-generation owners, founders of fast-growth companies and family-office principals.
The applicant's history, ownership and financial evidence therefore need to be mapped against the relevant profile before an investment option is selected.
Current EDB materials set significant minimum investment requirements and attach business, fund or family-office conditions to the respective routes. For example, Option A requires a substantial investment into a new or expanded Singapore business and a detailed five-year plan.
The programme should therefore be integrated with a genuine business or wealth strategy rather than approached as an isolated residence application.
EDB states that the GIP application fee was revised to S$20,000 with effect from 5 May 2025. Programme criteria can evolve, making current official materials essential before an applicant commits funds.
Immigration, tax residence, family relocation and asset structuring should also be considered separately with the relevant specialists.
Coutts Consultants coordinates the applicant profile, business/investment strategy, supporting evidence and Singapore implementation with immigration, tax and investment professionals.
The objective is a credible GIP case grounded in the applicant's actual track record and future Singapore contribution, not an investment assembled solely to meet a residence threshold.
Coutts Consultants coordinates Singapore GIP business and investment workstreams around eligible global investors, with immigration and tax advice provided by appropriate specialists.
Dependent on applicant profile, selected GIP option and EDB/immigration assessment
